Okay, this has been a very hard winter on our little Calls, and I will tell you what the problem is. We have lost a total of 6 ducks this winter. 1 to an owl, one of old age, and 4 of freezing. My ducks love to swim, like most other ducks out there. 4 got completely wet, and got cold and froze. These were my newest Calls of course. Though I have lost $400 of ducks this week, and I am questioning my own ability to raise them. I do love them, but we are not attempting anything new from now on. I will be getting the Crested in Fall 2018, but until them, we will not be getting anything new, and we will be doing everything off the Calls were currently have. If you looked on my page about Call Ducks, you will notice that I have gotten rid of all the prices for Chestnut, Blue Fawn, Black-bibbed, and Blue Snowy. This doesn't mean we won't have the chance of the availability of these varieties, it just means I cannot guarantee there will be any, as there is insufficient amounts on my flock of the variety. I only have 17 ducks. I hope we continue to do well with our Calls, but we are not going to give up. I may be in bird debt forever, but that is not the main concern currently.
